About me

Hi! I’m Fernando Cardenas, and before I describe myself, I’d like to THANK YOU for visiting my blog.

📱 I’m a mobile developer who has delivered complex iOS apps in the Retail, IoT, and Health industries for the last 3 years at grandcentrix. I also work as a Team Lead for iOS Development and have led different teams in non-profit-organizations.

I’m also a Latino, who has lived in Colombia, Brazil, Poland, and somehow ended up in Germany over 6 years ago (and still very happy about it). During all these years, I’ve had many successes, but also mistakes. Raging from volunteering and full-time jobs to adapting to new cultures and learning new languages. Also, from fixing bugs, implementing new features to leading teams, and handling situations that challenged my core values.

Those made me question whether I was good enough as a developer and leader and mainly whether I am proud of the person I’m becoming?

mainMessage()

In this blog, I want to share my learnings about iOS Development, working, and living abroad. Also, leading diverse teams and the struggle to be every day the best version of myself. I hope these thoughts can help you MOVE FORWARD! 🚀. In the end, I believe that the most important thing is being a little better than one was the day before. Little progress every day is better than no progress.
